Doris De Palo

Where is your favourite place in the world?

My favorite place in the world so far is Sri Lanka. It’s a lot cheaper than the Maldives, but the beaches and some places I’ve been visiting on the coast have nothing less. I loved the sunsets there, the white sand and the traditional atmosphere. That’s my favorite place to chill. My favourite place to have some good fun instead is Miami. Anyway, wherever it’s warm makes me happy.

What is the first thing you do when you wake up?

I drink my warm coffee, a lot of coffee actually.

What is the most daring thing you have ever done?

I swam with the sharks!

What is your biggest fear is?

My biggest fear is having any kind of regret when I’m older, without having the possibility to change it anymore.

How much do you value family?

I think that family is everything. My mum and my sister are the best friends I can always trust on.

What do you look for in a partner?

Unfortunately at the first sight, physical appearence means a lot to me. But then the person has also to be loyal and honest and not dumb. So that’s a hard match, ahah! I don’t care much about money. The only time I really felt in love with someone was with a waiter.

Who do you admire the most?

It’s easy – my mum. She is the strongest woman I’ve met. I know what she went through when my parents divorced and how she faced everything alone, raising two girls without a stable job. And then she is so good inside, with everybody, everyday.

Where do you want to be in 10 years time?

I want to be in a warm place, where the summer is endless, running my own activity (a bar, a beach club, an Italian restaurant – I have to figure it out still) with someone by my side. Stability is priceless. When you’re in peace inside, and you know what you have to do every day, and it’s something you actually love doing, then you’re really happy and at peace with everything and everyone around.
